ohhhhhhlala, I'm starving for a good ole burger now, Thanks Averi. Maybe Thursday night after my W.W. weigh in....

And speaking of burgers. My great friend Amy has us over for dinner quite a bit. Sometimes to try out new recipes. I've told her we'll be her quinine pigs anytime, because she's such a great cook. Anyhoo, the last time she had us over was for a Hamburger Recipe she wanted to try. THE BURGER was AMAZING....check it out-The Stuffed Bacon BBQ-Cheddar Burger, I highly recommend it

Austin for the weekend!

Bored with Plano we decided to meet my parents in Austin this weekend. Thanks Chris and Lesli for housing all of us....and the babies too!! We had lots of fun!!

Into our toddler bed!!

Time for some toddler bed action!! Tonight will be the first night Ava will sleep in her toddler bed. She's slept in a regular bed at Dee Dee's & Papa's and at Uncle Chris & Aunt Lili's house before, but now its time to really learn how to do it. If you must know, she fell out of the bed last night in Austin and scared the heck out of me. Which was really not a surprise knowing what a wild sleeper she is. We lined the floor with pillows to ease any falls she might have. So we're ready and she's ready too, no drama what so ever at bedtime tonight. Updates coming!!

My Hero's

My Mema- Louise McCall
My Granddad- E.N. (Shorty) McCall out on his ranch
Mema and Granddad
My Mom
My Dad
These are my HERO'S
I've turned to them for faith and wisdom and never been let down. They have supported me in each stage of my life from childhood to adulthood and from single college girl to married mommy girl. It sounds so cliche but I'm a better person because of these people!!!

Thanks Allyson for this topic!!

Balloons everywhere

This weekend is the Plano Balloon Festival just minutes from our house. Matthias called on his way to work to let us know the sky was covered with balloons and we should get out and watch them. Ava, Max and I jumped in the car for a little balloon watching, pj's and all. We got so close to some of them we could wave...what a great way to start our day!!!

Kid Nation

Finally a reality show I don't have to pause or watch when Ava's not in the room.
KID NATION
It's the newest reality series about 40 kids who are thrown in this ghost town with no adults and given a chance to make the city run. We, including AVA loved it. Highly recommend it!

Oh and on another note......Jessica and I won the Plano Parks and Rec B-2 doubles league tonight! YIPEEEEEE!! The whole summer 2 season was really great, just getting out there and playing, and we kicked some bootie and won. Gawd, some of that High School competitiveness comes out in me...so funny! But we kept it together and won! Fall season we're gonna give A-3 a try....Stay tuned!!!

Oh and she and Anthony are on their way to Puerto Rico for there 10th wedding anniversary, Have fun ya'll!!! 10 years that's awesome!

I got it I got it I got it I got it!!!!!!!!

Today Ava started yelling in the back seat, "I Got It, I Got It MOM!!!" I was on the phone so she continued to yell this over and over until I finally looked back to acknowledge her new talent. GUNS UP! It was so cute and I'm just wondering if she's been practicing on the side or something, b/c we showed her a couple of times and then forgot about it. She was so excited...so you have to make sure you ask her to show you her "Guns Up" next time you see her. She's really proud of herself!!!

Where's our Nanny?????

For once I got to have some of my dearest friends and there babies over for a fun evening. Fresh was in town with her family for her MIL's surgery, which went really well. She is on the road to recovery and cancer free! Thank God!!! It was so great to see little Trixie, she's so laid back and just adorable...she just starred at Ava sometimes, like "Girl your crazy". Fresh is expecting baby girl #2, Edith Alexandria in 8 more weeks, I remember those last few months, ughhhhh! Whitney was here too, she just moved back to the DFW area from Denver, yipeee. Well, she's still an hour away but an hour away in this area by car goes by really quick. We finally got to meet Shelby and she's just like all the pictures...a doll!!! Whit looks great and it was great catching up with her!! Then my kick-butt tennis partner Jessica came over with her adorable two, Ayden and Julian. They have been doing the lake every weekend plus we usually go to there house to enjoy the pool, so it was nice having them over here for a change. Thanks for coming to see us girls!!!!

Max's newest trick!!!

Joseph was promoted!!

My cousin Joseph we promoted to Sergent last month. He also received Soldier of the Month around the same time. I'm borrowing these pictures from his wife Amanda's photo site-Thanks Amanda! I'm pretty sure Joseph is coming home this Christmas sometime and will then go back to Germany where he was stationed before leaving to Iraq. The pictures above show him being promoted! He deserves every bit of it!!!

9-11-01, where were you this day???

I was working my managing shift at Rudy's BBQ in Round Rock Texas, a suburb of Austin. I was up in the store helping out and making my rounds when a guy walked in and asked me if I could turn on the news. He said the radio reported that the World Trade Center was on fire. We turned it on and sure enough ever television station was covering the fire. More and more people were coming in and hanging in the dining room to watch the next most unexpected thing. The second explosion of the 2nd tower. Soon they were able to show the footage of the airplanes flying in to the towers. I can't explain how I felt, the explosions were huge a massive. I remember calling my mom and my friend Wes who lived in NYC. Then we learned about the Pentagon being hit by another plane and American flight 93 going down. We were being attacked here in the USA, something very foreign to us all. Before you know it we had a bunch of people crowded in the dining room watching the news. And it would stay that way the rest of the day. I remember running home, locking my doors and laying on the couch for days attached to the T.V. My heart was broken for many reasons. I questioned my own security and wondered if there would be another attack. Our world as we knew it would be changed forever...I pray today--6 years later-- for all the families who lost someone that day....

Courtney and Duncan are getting married!!!

My cousin Courtney is getting married and we're so excited for her. Duncan is such a nice guy and will fit in just perfectly with the rest of us Mosser's! We hear there was a proposal out on the beach in San Diego....and a very romantic one at that....Congratulations to you guys!!!

Football Football Football!!!! American Football that is....

"Lets go ROMO"...clap clap clap clap clap...

The Couch.....
The computer....
Fantasy Football...The T.V.
The remote....and our new football fan. Ava loves football and even got mad at us when we switched for a moment to the US Open. So funny!!

I remember the first year my husband was introduced to American football it was 2004. I mean he knew football and had friends who played against the American soldiers on the base in Ulm. But he himself never played. He wasn't to excited about it and really could care less about watching a game. The next year, 2005 he showed a little bit more interest in Pro football as opposed to College ball, the complete opposite of me. 2006 was his first year attempt at Fantasy Football while learning more players and all positions and their responsibilities. I remember the first Sunday after the Super bowl thinking, "FINALLY A SUNDAY WITH NO FOOTBALL" Don't get me wrong I LOVE FOOTBALL SEASON. But I LOVE watching my favorite teams.....TEXAS TECH and the COWBOYS, not ever freaking game there is to watch. I like watching the big games too, but not every freaking team. Catch my drift!!!

So 2007, Saturday was lots of fun, waiting for Tech to play and watching the other College teams play....I'm a college football lover...so good for me!!! Then, SUNDAY gets here and the television, the remote, the computer, and the couch become my husbands only necessities.....from 11am till 11pm. I got play by play updates on his Fantasy Football team and tried to show some interest early on. By the end of the night I was into it to only because he told me if he wins the league, he gets $800.00. UGHHHHHHHHH, he's AMERICANIZED!!! Good or bad? I'm sure you all can relate.....
Fall 2008 has arrived, WELCOME to the Gerlich's

A few things you might not know about me....

I've been tagged by my Cybersister Kristin....so here you go!!!

1. I'm somewhat addicted to celebrity gossip, I love US Weekly, TMZ.com, The Daily 10, People Magazine on and on. I know I drive my husband crazy some days with my comments and thoughts on it all. Like..."Did you hear about Brittney in Vegas?" or "So I wonder what drugs Owen abused" or "I wish Lauren and Brody would get together." Not sure when I decided to become so involved in it all, but I made a choice about a month ago to break this addiction and to do something else with my time and thoughts. Like Blog and Myspce...heehee!

2. I have a lead foot and am somewhat an aggressive driver. I personally think I'm a great driver and like to say I'm a great defensive driver. However, my mom, brother Kerry, friend Fancy and a few others disagree. Let's just say, I've taken a few Defensive Driving courses....

3. I'm an new Diet Coke drinker. I've never liked diet cokes or diet soda's for that matter, but after I started W.W. and found out Coke's were 2 points and Diet Coke's were 0 points I made the switch. I'm not a big soda drinker...try to stay away from the caffeine but when I do have one it's a diet.

4. My new workout love is Spinning. OH I LOVE IT, and I needed a new something to get me excited about doing cardio. I'm trying to go 2-3 times a week, and the good thing about it is the classes are an hour long, that's 45 min. longer than I ever spend on cardio when I do it. Try a class if you have a chance!!

5. I'm not afraid of flying here in the USA. I mean I get the butterflies and things go through my head on take of and landing, but if something went wrong there's a chance we could land at a airport near by. But I do freak out on our flights to Germany. That's 5 hours over the ocean and if you go down, well you go down. UGHHH my stomach just dropped thinking about it.

6. I use to hate peanut butter, but not anymore. About a month ago I was looking for some healthy snack ideas and came across apples and peanut butter. I loved it and have added it to my snack list.

7. I am a pile person in an organized way...is that possible? Piles of clothes, piles of magazines, piles of thing to put on ebay, piles of articles from magazines, piles of mail, piles of baby clothes to give away, piles of socks to sort, ....etc. I do eventually get these piles put in their proper place, but always find a new pile somewhere else that needs help...ughhhh!
