Just another HOT Summer Day....

Goes something like this......Time for summer camp, get dressed......
which usually takes 10-30 minutes, depending on how rushed we are. Sesame Street is much more important....
Max is always the last to get up, he likes to sleep in then is ready for some breakfast. Here he is showing off his spoon skills....
Ava's been all about gymnastics these days. Her camp is at a huge gymnasium where they hold gymnastic classes. Our neighbor's daughter goes there and competes on the team. Ava tells me every day when she sees her there and how good she is. Maybe we should do some classes...
Off to school and work we go....
8pm and its HOT, but a good time to hang in the backyard just to get some fresh air.
And water the plants and what the heck, play in the water....
Matthias thinks I should go ahead and cut Max's hair, but its really so thin and I'm wanting to wait a little longer, but we'll see. In this picture he looks like he has short hair....
Max waiting for Big Sister's instructions.....
Crazy fun!!!
"Mommy you do it"....okay here you go!!!

End of the day.....Time for bed....oh, and a unicorn ride.....

Keri's Fight to Kick Cancer's Ass!!!

My sister-in-law(do I even have to say this?)Lesli's great friend Keri is putting up a great fight against Cancer. She's done with chemo, it wasn't a good match for her, so now they will focus on clinical trails. I have followed her on her website and am 100% amazed at this Woman's strength and attitude. Please say a prayer for Keri and her entire family!

Her Motto is to "Kick this Cancer's Ass"
These are her "Kick Cancer's Ass" Bracelets the read: Kourage*Faith*Recovery*Keri.
And as you can see the are this burnt orange color, as she, Lesli and many of their friends went to UT. I along with my kids keep it on and pray for her daily!

A friend of hers left this comment and I just loved it! We've been listening and watching tons of Pooh around here and I have fallen in LOVE again the Hundred-Acre Wood.
"Promise me you will always remember: You are braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem and smarter than you think"

Fun in our neighborhood park...Hobitzelle Park

Tuesday night we walked a two blocks over to the Plano Library Summer Reading Celebration. Lots of fun and something to get us out and about in our neighborhood. Face Painting, storytelling, music and more. And it was HOT...HOT....HOT--Geez, come one Fall!
Max was protesting in this picture, he wanted to go to the park and play. So we had to do some convincing to get him over to the music....

Then he was hooked. Look at him hanging out backstage like his Uncle Kelly..heehee. This guy was really fun with all the kid songs....

Ava: Mommy, let me show you how big I am....this big.
Ava took this one...nice work shirt huh...
Finally some good ole park time....with 300 other kids, ick!

Lets go!

Live Like You Were Dying, Tim McGraw
Written By TIM NICHOLS, CRAIG WISEMAN

Lyrics:
He said I was in my early forties
with a lot of life before me
when a moment came that stopped me on a dime
and I spent most of the next days
looking at the x-rays
Talking bout the options
and talking bout sweet time
I asked him when it sank in
that this might really be the real end
how's it hit you when you get that kinda news
man what'd you do

and he said
I went sky diving
I went Rocky Mountain climbing
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named FuManchu
and I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
and I gave forgiveness I'd been denying
and he said someday I hope you get the chance
to live like you were dying.

He said I was finally the husband
that most the time I wasn't
and I became a friend a friend would like to have
and all the sudden going fishin
wasn't such an imposition
and I went three times that year I lost my dad
well I finally read the good book
and I took a good long hard look
at what I'd do if I could do it all again

and then
I went sky diving
I went Rocky Mountain climbing
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named FuManchu
and I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
and I gave forgiveness I'd been denying
and he said someday I hope you get the chance
to live like you were dying.

Like tomorrow was a gift and you got eternity to think about
what'd you do with it what did you do with it
what did I do with it
what would I do with it'

Sky diving
I went Rocky Mountain climbing
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named FuManchu
and then I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
and I watched an eagle as it was flying
and he said someday I hope you get the chance
to live like you were dying.
To live like you were dying
To live like you were dying
To live like you were dying
To live like you were dying

Artist: Peter Gabriel
Father, son
Locked as one
In this empty room
Spine against spine
Yours against mine
Till the warmth comes through

Remember the breakwaters down by the waves
I first found my courage
Knowing daddy could save
I could hold back the tide
With my dad by my side

Dogs, plows and bows
We move through each pose
Struggling in our separate ways
Mantras and hymns
Unfolding limbs
Looking for release through the pain

And the yogi's eyes are open
Looking up above
He too is dreaming of his daddy's love
With his dad by his side
Got his dad by his side

Can you recall
How you took me to school
We couldn't talk much at all
It's been so many years
And now these tears
Guess I'm still your child

Out on the moors
We take a pause
See how far we have come
You're moving quite slow
How far can we go
Father and son

With my dad by my side
With my dad by my side
Got my dad by my side
With me
Your Daddy was a good man and I will always remember his blue blue eyes and big gourgeous smile. I know he's hanging out with my angels in heaven and sharing stories about us right now!
He was so proud of you guys and had every reason to be. You are for sure your father's son's...honest, caring, thoughtful, proud, strong and most of all LOVED!
I love you both!!!

Lake Texoma 2008

We just returned from our trip to Lake Texoma. Alma, Tiffeni, Jessica, our husbands and kids were all there. Tiffeni and Jessica both have places on the lake so it was a short and easy trip for us to make. Thanks girls for all the hospitality and adventures...we especially loved the beaches, the rhino and golf cart trips, the laughs, dancing and just watching all 9-12 kids play.

I only got 1 1/4 days of pictures...ughhhhhhhhhhhhh. I forgot my charger....NOT GOOD! But in the 1 1/4 days I got a bunch....ENJOY!!!!

Day One-Texas side of Lake Texoma-Stayed at Jes and Anthony's Motel. This awesome secluded beach is down the street from them. Tiff and her girls met us at the end of the day.

Max did so good and by day4 he had it down....

Tiffeni and the girls arrive.....

Time for some inner tubing, Ava's first time ever. She rocked for a short little time...

Guns up Girls....

I was loving the sunset shots. With this setting and light I was sorta feeling a bit like a professional....kinda--****stop laughing Kristin****

Day Two--We moved over to Tiffeni's families lake house on the Oklahoma side of Texoma. For 3 more days we lake and beached it....here are the few shots I got...

Max, Kenna(Tiff's middle girlie) and Zech(Alma's oldest)
Zaylor (Alma's baby girl) and Ava
