I agree!!!

As I laid down tonight I opened my Texas Monthly and this was the first article I read. Kinda crazy, it was the first conversation I had this morning with my brother Chris. He and I couldn't agree more.....3-4 TRILLION Dollars, what the hell??? We've been there longer than World War I and World War II put together. I love my country and am proud to be and American, but enough is enough, step up Iraqis!!!

The Twins.....

My old and dear friends Jessica, Brandi(left) and Traci(right) and I in Amarillo. Love these girls, they make me belly laugh. It was great seeing them!

Uncle Kerry stayed the night....

What a great surprise to come home too. Uncle Kerry is in route to Chicago for work, so he stopped at our house to stay the night. It was great to see him....the kids we're needing some good Uncle Time.....Safe Travels, My Twin!!!

Father's Day at the Dallas Zoo!

We got there super early but it really didn't matter it was FREAKING HOT! We we're there for about 4 hours, sweating through it all. Note to self---Zoo's are better during the fall or early Spring!!
These little guys we're really cute....

Next we moved on to the Gorillas....

A few of these Gorillas were like 58 years old, crazy, huh??
They have a huge area to roam around so we decided to go around to the back to get a closer look, and boy did we.....

Check these out. we we're like right there....in his face.
At this point I snapped the camera and then grabbed Max....all of us were freaked out except Max he was hitting the window.....ughhhhhh my heart was racing.

Max is the biggest Daddy's Boy right now...really cute!!!

Time to jump on the train and rest our feet---in the heat.....

This chimpanze hung out way up in the tree I think most of the time we were there....
Downtown views while on the train...
Max almost 16 months....

The Children's Zoo has a great area to cool down at....the kids loved it

These guys we're fighting the whole time.....especially the ones in the back....
The 6 main one's in the picture we're like attacking each other, I would to standing in crap the whole day in like 100 degree weather.....

Summer goes better with H2O!!!!

Remember being a kid during summertime? It was all about the H2O, whether is be through a water hose, jumping through the sprinklers or wading in the pool, it didn't matter as long as the water was on. Growing up on Adrian street we lived right across from the school. So on the days when the grounds we're being watered these huge, powerful sprinklers would come on and we would run around for hours having sprinkler wars against each other. There we're these 3 tall Evergreen trees close to the school where water would collect and make huge mud ponds(probably puddles, but at 6, 7, 8 years old they seemed like ponds)so we would jump, splash and make mud pies for each other....so much fun!

I remember so many other places where the water ruled my summer days. Kerry and I had our birthday(July 13th) parties at the water park in Plainview a couple of years. Mom would load up the van with a bunch of screaming kids and off we'd go for an all day adventure--we thought we we're the coolest. Then when we we're a little older Mom would drop us off at Maxey Pool or Clapp Pool for the afternoons to cool off from the summer heat. And I remember the summer we started building our house in Slaton, I lived to go to the Slaton pool. It was there I met some of my first friends in Slaton.

So when we say "Ava do you want to play in the pool," "Ava do you want to go swimming" or "Ava do you want to water the flowers." I understand why she gets a huge smile on her face and beams sunshine from her eyes....I totally UNDERSTAND!!"

Plano has some of the best community pools and spray parks around. So we started our day off today at Jack Carter Pool and plan on hitting all of them by the time summer is over.Last weekend my niece and nephew were in the Lubbock hanging out with Dee Dee and Papa. Here they are playing out in the sprinklers.....

We'll also have our pool going on in the backyard this summer....think I need to invest a little more $ next time....but to the kids, it doesn't matter.....
