We spent the weekend visiting friends and family in Austin. We met up with some of our good ole buddies for dinner on Friday night. One of our favorite places--Shady Grove. They had a huge Curious George Balloon area set up for all the kidos to run around. My brother and his family also moved into a new house, so we visited and stayed the night with them!! Here are a few from our dinner date!

YUCK!!

Today, I go for the ever so famous Diabetes Screening Test at my Doctors office today. I'm dreading it already, but its a must do thing to check for Gestational diabetes. I have to drink the sweetest drink ever, 50 grams of Glucola as quickly as possible, with out anything else in my stomach. You may be thinking yummy, but not so much!! Then, arrive at the Doctor's office within 40-45 min of drinking it and have my blood drawn to check my blood sugar levals. I'll let you know how it goes!!

The Lights of Legacy!!
We went to the Annual Tree Lighting up at my work area last night. Us and about 15,000 other people, it was packed. Thank goodness for all the men, one of the stores had the Dallas game on in the window, they we're all crowded around hooping and hollering(Matthias included). It was cold and festive a perfect night to kick off the holiday's. Ava's not quite in to it all just yet, but give us a year and we'll be right there. Here are a few pictures from the night..
Above the belly shots only...heehee.
Burrrrrrrrrrrr Cold!!!
Ava kept calling this reindeer a mouse!!
On Daddy's shoulder for a great view of the tree lighting...
And this is one tall toy soldier..........

Me and the little one, 26 weeks!!
Fetal development - 26 weeks pregnant
Measuring your baby from top to toe with his legs extended, he is about 14 inches/35.6 centimetres. He weighs a little more than 1.6 pounds/ 760 grams. Your baby's eyes begin to open around now. Response to sound grows more consistent toward the end of the seventh month, when the network of nerves to the ear is complete. He also continues to take small breaths and although he's only breathing in water and not air, it's still good practice for when he's born.
Since your baby is now growing so fast, and brain development is so intense at this stage, your nutrition is very important. Continue to eat a well-balanced diet that includes plenty of grains and vegetables. Fibre-rich foods, including whole-grain breads and cereals, lentils and brown rice are high in vitamin B.

The Queen

I love going to the movies and don't do it very often so this Sunday I put the princess down for a nap, left the king to watch the Cowboys and took off to the MOVIES!! All alone, me and the baby boy!!! So exciting!!!
I decided to go see "The Queen" which turned out to be great...I give it two thumbs up.
"'The Queen,' an intimate, revealing and often humorous portrait of the British royal family in crisis immediately following the death of Princess Diana..."
