Uncle Kerry's Birthday Swing.

On one of my birthdays my brother Kerry gave me a swing he made himself. I've had it for years and finally have a great backyard to hang it in. It's not 100% yet, it swings a little crooked but we'll figure it out.....Enjoy!Ava's first shot at it....
It's on a very high branch so it swings big....should be fun....

"I'm thinking this is cool, if my sister would give me a try...."

Let's get some haircuts going on....

Today we all got our hair cut...Mommy too. Here are a few before and after photos of the day.

Some bed head action this morning....
Off we go to Zoo Cuts! Give us short and one length all the way around.
There you go, Ava Louise--3 1/4

Mr. Max is next....
"I refuse to wear that ridiculous cape and I need a sucker before we start this action...."
"Let me out of here, I know I've done it before, but seriously.....HELP MOMMA!"
Here he is....Max Alexander--few days shy of 19 months....
We're ready for our weekend and next week at DeeDee and Papa's!!!

Sunday from start to finish....

I thought we'd get our day started with some Sunday School, but I was like 3 weeks off. It starts at the end of the month. So, Ava and I went to mass and then enjoyed the doughnut Sunday event afterward. Look how big a pretty Miss Ava is....

After lunch and a quick bike ride with Max it was time to get busy with our preparations for Michael and Caroline. The come from Germany tomorrow and we're so excited. Here's a few of our latest home improvements.

Sanded and refinished our deck....Thanks to Matthias!

I sanded and refinished my birthday bench from my twin...

Got the house painted about a month ago...

New back gate to replace the old one.
Kids hanging out enjoying the weather, finally a beautiful day after Ike hit us the day before.

Surfside Beach.....

The Vacation spot...

Our friend Rochelle's sister, Cindy(in the blue hat) and her husband have a house down there. Waiting to hear if there was any damage to their place. If you watch the video you can see the bridge to the right and the blue building in the background.

Found this video of Surfside Beach just a few minutes ago. We had such a wonderful family vacation down there...we're all a little sad to hear that it was hit the hardest.

Beautifully Stated....

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will.

You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time.

You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken.

You'll fight with your best friend.

You'll blame a new love for things an old one did.

You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love.

So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.

Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

Jeff sent this to me and I love it!

The series continues....

2006-1 1/2
2007-2 1/2
2008-3 1/2
Also, 2008-School #2-3 1/2

Ava's second first Day of School.

Ava's school at our church started today....finally a week after all other schools around. She was excited and of course was a pro when I dropped her off. Here are a few from the morning.

Ps. It's my first time being home with both babies in school. Usually I work but was scheduled off today, so I'm not sure to do with myself. Head to the gym in a few and grocery store...Matthias threw in I could "clean the house"...lol figures.heehee!

Happy Tuesday to all!

Ava said it...."Mom could you inside-out this" this is what she says when her clothes are inside out. Kinda like "speak it up" when she wants the radio louder.

Max...is talking a bunch too. His teacher was really surprised last week with all of his 3-4 word sentences..."I'm okay momma," "I don't want it," and he can even say "yes" and "no" in the right context.....pretty good!!!
