Austin for the weekend!
We went to Austin last weekend for a wedding and stayed with Chris and Lesli. Friday night we hung out at Central Market. The kids played hard at the playground, while we enjoyed the music and great food. Saturday we relaxed all day until the wedding, Matthias was sick so he was in bed all day-even missing a golf date...that never happens. We had a great time....Love me some Austin, Texas!!!
Oh and we got to see Rachael, Joel and Sydney at Rudy's Saturday morning for some breakfast tacos...BIG news of the day...Rachael and Joel are engaged, he asked her later on that same day. Total surprise to her-we're so happy for them!!!
Champ and Stacy came to town!!
We got to hang out with our great friends Champ and Stacy!! Yipeee!! We even got to have a margarita or two with them. Normally not such a big deal for some but for us North DFW folks, its a big deal. Thanks for coming over to hangout ya'll, we had a blast!!!

Top 5 favorite places in VEGAS!!!
1. The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace- I love going here to walk around, shop, drink and eat. I have so many memories of margarita in hand while shopping with friends. La Salsa is a great place to stop for your chip and salsa fix and then on to the margaritas and off to the shops!! Over 160 shops to choose from and the atmosphere is spectacular, ancient Roman Streets and visuals...

3. LA REVE-"A small collections of Imperfect Dreams" shown at the Wynn Hotel. This is one of the best shows I've ever seen. Its done in a circular stadium seating theater and is absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend this show!!!

4.Ghostbar- Located in The Palms Casino. 55 stories up in the sky with an open air deck and a 180 degree view of the Vegas Strip. Such a fun place to hang and people watch. One time on a bachelorette party we partied right next to Vince Neal (Motley Crue) and his harem....see photo below...he's a the table behind us with his back to us...sitting with all the blonds. The girl to his left is his wife............

5. The pool at Caesars Palace....I love hanging there all day during the day, sipping on drinks and visiting with friends. Then heading to the room to get ready for the evening! nothing better!!!

Kelly Kelly Kelly!!!
I have to do some more bragging on my brother Kelly--(I so wanted to say baby brother, but didn't or did I.) LOL He has accepted an internship for his dream job. I'm so super excited for him. If any of you know Kelly you know he's very passionate about live music, traveling all over the nation to follow bands. This is a post he put on his MySpace........
"today i had a phone interview with a company based out of Boulder called Madison House Inc. some of you may have heard of them, but you have definitely heard of some of their clients. to name a few: Michael Franti & Spearhead, String Cheese, Keller Williams, Langerado, JamCruise, Umphrey's McGee, Tea Leaf Green, and many many more. after speaking with them briefly today, they told me that they thought "my resume looked great and everything sounds perfect" and that they "wanted to invite me to do an internship with them this fall." i am beyond ecstatic. i've known for quite some time that i wanted to work within the music industry, whether it be booking, management, or event production (all of which Madison House specializes in). and now my foot is finally in the door! the internship starts in early September (basically, as soon as i get back from the Gorge) and ends right before Christmas. i will most likely be working with the Publicity branch of Madison House, but that might change over the course of the semester. the internship isn't paid, which is totally cool, since this industry is all about connections. i'm only required to be in office for 10 hours per week, but i have a feeling i'll want to be there much more often. i'll most likely get a job waiting tables at night, and i'll be up there the weekend of June 30, not only for the Franti/JBT show, but also to meet my new bosses and look for a place to live. this is a dream come true and i cant wait to be the newest addition to the Colorado family, even if its for short time."
