Hit my Goal!! Now can I maintain???

Finally, 21 weeks later. I Set and Hit my goal weight at Weight Watchers!!!! Now I just have to maintain for 6 weeks. Then if I stay within 2 lbs of my goal after 6 weeks, meetings will be free--- forever. As long as I weigh in once a month and stay with in my range. I'll then be what Weight Watchers calls a LIFETIME MEMBER.
Feels great to reach this goal, and I'm glad I started 5 months ago....No times a good time right!!!

Labor Day Weekend...

My babes....

Dinner out at The Shops at Legacy on Sunday night...I think this is our first family picture in a long time...

Of we go to the Tech vs. Smu game....Ava's first football game.
It took the entire first quarter for Ava to warm up, but after that she had a blast...

These pictures we're all from my cell phone so there not so good, but good enough. Go Raiders!

After the game we headed back to the Gaither's to pick up Max. Ava was very moved by the game. We had to talk about the "Red Raiders" the whole way to Rockwall and then the whole way home. It went something like this....."Red Raiders don't eat, they don't swing, they don't ski, their not scared of gorillas, they don't have mommies and daddies, they don't drive cars, they don't play with toys, they don't go to my school, and they don't talk to me because I'm to little"......and on and on...
But they do..."wear hat's and run and swing in big swings......60 minutes later.

The game was a lot of fun especially since we won, but we missed the band being in the stands. With 49pts, you can imagine how many times we yearned for the Fight Song. There were tons of Tech fans scattered through the stands and it showed, at one point "RAIDER>>>POWER" was louder than the SMU band could ever dream of being. We got constant rain drops for the 1st quarter then the clouds slightly parted and the rest of the game was so very pleasant....Thank you God!!!

Graham Harrell was awesome.....Michael Crabtree rocked.....DANNY, DANNY!!!!

I wish we could go to ever game, Gerald Ford Stadium has nothing on Jones Stadium and the fans that pack it.....Go Tech!! See you all Oct. 13th!!!!

The Symptoms of Inner Peace!!!

THE SYMPTOMS OF INNER PEACE
by Saskia Davis

Be on the lookout for symptoms of inner peace. The hearts of a great many have already been exposed to inner peace and it is possible that people everywhere could come down with it in epidemic proportions. This could pose a serious threat to what has, up to now, been a fairly stable condition of conflict in the world.

Field of Yellow

Some signs and symptoms of inner peace:
- A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences.

- An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment.

- A loss of interest in judging other people.

- A loss of interest in judging self.

- A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others.

- A loss of interest in conflict.

- A loss of the ability to worry. (This is a very serious symptom.)

- Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.

- Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature.

- Frequent attacks of smiling.

- An increasing tendency to let things happen rather than make them happen.

- An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.
WARNING:
If you have some or all of the above symptoms, please be advised that your condition of inner peace may be so far advanced as to not be curable. If you are exposed to anyone exhibiting any of these symptoms, remain exposed only at your own risk.

Max is in awe of Thatcher....

Slimcado....

So if you know me, you know I love avacados. On a sandwich, on a taco, on a salad or plain with a little salt. My favorite way to eat them are in quacamole, yummy!

Amy know's me well enough to give me a call after dark to rant and rave about this new version of a an avacado called a SlimCado. It has 1/2 the fat and like 30% less calories. Are you kidding me.......plust its the size of a mango.

So out the door I go the next shopping day in search of the SlimCado. I have to say it's okay. I'll have to get use to this skinny version. To me its like going from Ranch dressing to fat free ranch dressing or whole milk to skim. But I can do it. Give it a try and let me know your thoughts......

I found it right next to the avacados....Happy eating!!!

Fort Worth Zoo

Have you been to this zoo before? I've heard nothing but great thing about this zoo from my sis-in-law and this past weekend we made the drive to Fort Worth to go check it out. I have two words for you WOW and HOT! We arrived around 9:30am and the doors opened at 10am, by 10:15am we were soaking wet...........so freaking hot. On the flipside the animals were all out and about for the morning so we got some great views. My favorite we're the baby elephant eating the tree and the Gorilla giving us the the look, I think he wanted to eat us! Lots of fun and I highly recommend a visit to this zoo. Oh and the back part of the Zoo is centered around Texas and all the different regions within our state. Each region has its on area of the zoo with all the native animals to that region, really cool! Feels like your in an old western movie as you go through. 4 hours later we were done done done!! Enjoy!
