Ava and Santa!

Today we made a special trip to visit Santa at the mall. We stood in line and seemed a little interested, until it was our turn. Ava started yelling.."No Santa, No Santa, Don't want Santa...she was wiggling and on the verge of losing it...so I quietly moved on. I don't know what happened to our little angel from last year...see above....Must be that age thing, but she meant business!!
NO SANTA!!!

Contest!!

That's right Avery!! I remember thanks for reminding me....IT's ON!!!

Ava and her Crown!!

Ava's teachers had a little birthday party for her yesterday!! They are so awesome and sweet to her, we love it!! Here she is before bedtime in her birthday crown!!
"Oh there they are again, those darn paparazzi"
"I mean, can't they see I'm trying to finish my apple sauce so I can get my beauty sleep...I mean really"
"I can't take it anymore, please quit following me!!!"

The park in some pink snow boots!

Sometimes, even if its 80 degrees outside a girl wants to wear her snow boots. Now some of us don't do it b/c we know we'll get laughed at, but some of us just don't care....Ava being one of them!!

What we need and want--The Elmo TMX

I've searched far and wide for this toy, with no luck. Online they go for about 100.00, retail is 40.00. I've been looking for about a month now and ask all of you out there(I never thought I'd be one of these people) if you see one, get it for me and I'll pay shipping and cost. I may have to wait after the holiday's and get it for a birthday present, but have a feeling we'll have the same problem. I refuse to pay the big bucks but would love to have one for Ava for Christmas!! Help a sister out!!!

Holiday Party at the Gaither's

They for sure have the best decorations I've seen this year!! Inside and Out!!!

Dixie Chicks in Dallas!!

All I can say is WOW!! The Dixie Chicks put on one hell of a show last night, they really are amazing musicians and their sound--PERFECT. Along with their rocking back up band they played for 2 hours to an almost sold out American Airlines Center. Natalie was the ring master for sure, while Marty and Emily just strutted around stage jammin on their many instruments but mostly the fiddle and banjo!! This was there last show of their 2006 tour. Kena and I had great tickets, 8th row and Jeff and Quay were back about 40 rows. Such a treat to see them live....Stacy, Kena kept commenting how glad she was you decided not to come-LOL....We'll do it next time around!! I know I called some of your phones....hope I did'nt wake you....
Yes thats a homemade sign....and YES I held it up the whole concert...
Quay, Jeff and I before the show.....(oh and by the way, Jeff's lost 65lbs in the last 6 months, he looks sooo great)..sorry I had to brag on him.........
Before the show!!
11 more weeks...yipeeeeeeeeeeee!!
Opening act--Peter Yorn, he's great!!
Opening song.......Lubbock or Leave it-I got alot of sign action here...

Day Two in NYC-Sightseeing!!

I had plans to hook up with my good friends Lynn and Don, but that fell through last minute. So, I headed out on the town all alone(which turned out to be kinda nice). West on 51st Street past Park Ave, Fifth Ave to Madison Ave., I came to St. Patrick's Cathedral, did a quick tour and decided to stick around for mass at noon. This Cathedral is gorgeous!! Construction began in 1858 and wasn't completed until 1906, today it is the largest Catholic cathedral in the US. Mass was really nice and as usual refreshing. I was surprised at how many people were there, but then again this was a holiday feeling kind of day, the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting was that night. Bringing in 100,000 people just blocks from our hotel.

Lookin up!
Main Entrance
Views from the back

After mass I headed a block over to fifth ave. and into Rockefeller Center. This place is massive consisting of 18 buildings, the center is the GE building a 70-story art deco tower. Then all the shopping around and the outdoor skating rink, Radio City Music Hall, and the NBC Studios. I was all over this place!!

Next to the skating rink the Christmas Tree
This lady was jamming to Britney's Toxic...

This guy was rocking too....
Next time I'll be down there too...
Tree up against the GE Building
Back to our favorite deli for a afternoon treat and to the hotel for a little cat nap before Matthias and I went to dinner at another great restaurant, this time Italian. And a little more siteseeing.
With 100,000 people all around this is as close as we could get to the Tree...Same building as in the picture above--The GE building...
Merry Christmas Ya'll!!

On our walk back, Matthias spotted the German Flag flying outside a hotel, come to find out the German President had stayed there the night before...
Have I said yet?????
I Love NYC!!!!
