Thursday Morning in Germany

Today is the first day of the Fashing celebrations. All the kids dress up and there are many many parties and celebrations....kids and adults. Ava had a great time at school and was such a big girl to join in the fun.

Leah is one of Ava's favorite friends at school

There is a brand new coffee and bakery shop here in Thalfingen so Max and I are off for a little morning date. Doesn't Max look excited!

Off we go!

Such a big boy....and 2 tomorrow!

Yummy bakery items to be had by all.
This was after picking up Ava and running a few errands. As I post he's still napping....Coffee dates with Mom make 2 year olds tired, I guess.

Snow Snow Snow!

Sunday was a beautiful day. This was the view from Omi's dining room into the backyard. A little cold this day, but super sunny.

Monday it snowed all day long. Stefan and I we're going to go to go night sking, but the weather really turned snowy towards the end of the day.

This is the view from the Living room today, Tuesday. Max and I are just hanging out and waiting to get Omi and Ava from their schools.

Valentines Snow Day.

Happy V Day to Mommy, Omi and Ava.....Thanks Babe!

After a Valentines breakfast we headed to Salzinkel Snow Park for a little Sledding. Its $13 euros to use the ski lift but free to hike up the hill for sledding. The Kids loved it and we got a good workout.

Lets Go Guys!

Ava loved it.

Max and Daddy too.

We only lasted an hour and half after all of this action.

Taking a break.

Ava and I were a great team.
That's Ava and I up there.

By the end Ava was a pro.

Max's favorite position up the hill..

another break.

Photo Framer, for sure!

Ava could have gone all day long.

Max was DONE-He told Matthias "I want to go, to cold!" Not a big fan of the cold at all. Think he'd rather be on a Pirate Ship in the middle of the ocean, with Robin Hood and a marching band.

By the way he'll be Two this week!

Saturday Night with the Di Nobile Family
Matthias's best friends Mom, Frau Di Nobile, invites us over each trip for a Homemade Italian Dinner. Always a couple of courses and so good.

Laurino and is wonderful Mom!

Andrea, Laurino's girlfriend and her daughter, Saskia. I told Saskia she needs to come visit Texas, she got so excited and reminded us several times she would be coming.

Our table....took this for you Mom!

Frau and Herr Di Nobile.

The Girls of the Night.

Valentines Night out in Thalfingen
Faschings Party or as we say--Carnival Celebration at Brasserie Adler
The celebration is to wish away the winter and also in preperation of Lent.
Everyone dresses up....Halloween style. Laurino dressed as a beer mug.
Reiner and I.....one of my most favorite guys with a great sense of humor!!

Old friends of Matthias's.

Andrea and Laurino.
Marcus grew up a couple of houses down from Matthias....

So Much fun, the Dj played all the traditional German songs and YMCA for the American girl....Thanks. ha.

Puzzles and Pirates!

Uncle Stefan and Sabrina brought Ava a puzzle Thursday night. Not anything like the one we did this summer during our family vacation at Surfside Beach-2500 pieces....but a good start for her.

Max's obsession at the moment it Robin Hood and Pirates. Here he is before his playgroup.
