Dress-up

One day while I was showering and getting ready, Ava took over my closet and hair drawer. This was the outcome, I thought it was pretty cute.....and of course had to take a few pictures , spaghetti face and all!!

We've had a great summer, Ava's been busy learning how to swim. She is by no means swimming but she is not afraid of the water and hangs out in her one piece float suit. She's even jumping of the edge of the pool into the water....not afraid at all.

We've also got a bunch of potty training going on. I like to pretend we're 100%, but the truth is we still have a few accidents here and there. However in the last two days she's had only one and that was my fault for not getting her there in time. She even napped today accident free...yipeeee!

She's looking forward to School starting or maybe that's me.heehee... She going to the same Mother's Day Out program she did last year, for two days a week. We found some old Valentines from last year and she's obbsessed with them, we play and play with them everynight, "Mommy, can you get these ready for my friends?" Don't think she understands Feb. 14th is a few days away.

She's so very independent it's crazy, wanting to do everything herself, sometimes its hard to let her, but for the most part we give in and let her figure it out.

And of course she's our Bestest Big Sister!!

Max is 5 months today!!!

This is how I found Max this morning after getting Ava's breakfast ready and doing a few things around the house. I swear not 20 minutes had gone by and I had not heard a peep out of him...

My heart sunk to my feet, then I had to laugh. Really, look how comfy he is!

I scoop him up and we're off to the living room for some big-sis entertainment. Ava decided she wanted to have a birthday party for Max, all those toys are the presents she brought him. Notice his face....so funny!

Then in this picture after she buckled his seat belt they we're off to the market and the park. She's driving the car in this picture....Max is like "oh boyyyyyy"

Gotta run I hear running water in Ava's bathroom, she is potty-training and we're on day 3-wish us luck. Now where is that other Sock..heehee!

Trip to Lubbock in July..

While in Lubbock Matthias cooked us all a wonderful German dinner and then we headed out to The Spoon to watch Elvis T and the Blues Butchers. I was surprised at the small crowd that night, not like it use to be, but we still had fun! Go figure!

July 4th trip to Lubbock

Home sweet Home. We were so happy to get to lubbock we did what we usually do, have a party. Stacy and John decided to host this time...Thanks ya'll! Lots of fun!! On the 4th we did the Slaton Park thing and then headed over to Johnny's to swim. Papa cooked for us that night and then it was off to the East side to watch the Lubbock fireworks...."HONK AT EM DEEDEE"!!!

We we're done with the heat so we headed over to Allen to check out the free spray park. Ava loved it and it's about 10 minutes from our house, even better.

Lubbock Girls trip is tomorrow!!!!

My little angel, my big boy, my little man!! I'm off to the Lubbock girls weekend and will miss him so much, my first time away from him!!! Here he is hanging in his swing while I pack!! He's giving me some fashion tips along the way!!!

Max started sucking these two fingers yesterday....and again today! I think its tooo cute, he hates his paci, but loves these fingers!!!

First Day of Summer!!!

Summer has always been my favorite time of year. I'm a true Texas girl and I like everything about the hot summers. A true tan, the pool, the lake, the river, shorts, my birthday, sitting out on the patio on a nice summer night. Everything! Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Max's Baptism

The last Sunday Omi was here we had Max's Baptism. Even though it was a quick trip for so many we are so thankful to have alot of our family with us! Omi and Papa are Max's godparents and did a wonderful job!! Max is one lucky little guy....Ava too....Matthias and I too...heehee

Omi was here!!!

From the moment she got here we didn't stop. Matthias's mom our Omi came for her visit last month and we enjoyed her so much! Ava got a Mercedes all the way from Germany, we did all of our flowerbeds in the backyard, we went to a Crawfish Boil Party, went to the water park and Baptized Max! Then it was time for her to go back to Germany. We miss her so much she was a big help to me and the babies!!

4 months today!!!!

So Max had his 4 month check up today and he did so good, besides the 5 shots, ughhhhh
Weight-15.9oz=75 percentile
Height 26"= 95% (Dr. Nail said he looks like a 6 month old b/c of his height

Monday Night Live Concert Series....

Matthias was out of town so the the babies and I loaded up and spent our night at the amphitheater in Allen. Lots of fun! Enjoy!!!
